Good Habits Are Hard to Break

First Things First.

Developing Good Habits.

What you do daily determines what you become permanently.

Write down one positive habit you have_____________.

Write down one negative habit you have____________.

Jesus had a habit of praying and going to church.
Luke 4:16 Have someone read this verse aloud.

When you are in a crisis, do you run to the phone or the throne? Get into the habbit of talking to God first.

There is a women in the Bible named Salome, who was the mother of James and John, two of Jesus’ “inner circle” disciples. Salome was like a lot of pround mothers and wanted her sons to succeed. In fact, she was a little bit pushy! She went to Jesus and asked Him if James and John could sit at His right hand and HIs left Hand. (Matt. 20:21.) Jesus rebuked her tenderly and turned her down, saying she didn’t know what she was asking.

Now, it’s easy to think of Salmons' request as selfish or over ambitious. But we can’t be tot tough on her since she was one of Jesus’ most faithful followers and never faltered in her service to Him. She also handed down a rich spiritual legacy to her sons.

Salome obviously developed good habits in her life: habits of faithfulness to serve, habits of teaching her children and training them up in the way they should go (Prov. 22:6), and habits of spending time with Jesus and learning His ways. I’m sure she also ran her household well, or she wouldn’t have had time to serve Jesus the way she did.

Which habits are harder to break Good or Bad?__________
