LBS: The Story of a Lifetime

The Christian life has been compared to a race. (Heb 13:1-3) To run a good race we must start well and end well. The good news is that Jesus Christ is our beginning, or Author, and the end, or Finisher of our race. Christ, at Calvary, gave us the beginning we could have never had by providing an opportunity to have our sins completely forgiven and washed away. Heaven is our prize. Jesus said that He has prepared a place for us when we cross the finish line of this life, a place of eternal joy. Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of our faith! We have our course laid out for us, it is now up to us to determine how we are going to run this race.

Eccl 9:11 It is a little known fact about life that we chose the attitude with which we live and how we deal with the obstacles along the way. To a certain extent we can determine the kind of life we will have by the amount of hard work, education, and choices we make for our future. Poor choices make for a poor life. There are, however, challenges and setbacks that we will experience regardless of the amount of preparation and planning we invest. It is at these times that the attitudes that we have chosen will determine how we will respond to them.
