It is almost inevitable. Anytime there is a person in authority, there is almost always someone or several subordinates who think they have a better way of doing things, or a better way of handling a situation. And even though their ideas may be worth considering, they don’t have the authority to implement them. A mature person understands this. This was most likely the case in the parable of the prodigal son. 
Luke 15:11-12 He may have thought his father’s ways of running the farm were old fashioned and he wanted to have the means to begin farming using his own ideas. It was a sign of immaturity for this son to demand his goods before the day of inheritance. The father in this story is a picture of our heavenly Father. Sometimes a parent has to let their child learn from their mistakes.  When a person approaches God with the mentality that God has to bless them, and is always asking God to bless them, it is a sign of an immature Christian.
