Read Chapter 46 for the following questions:
1. In 46:1-4, God reassures Jacob/Israel that He will be with him. Why do you think this is

2. How many people went to Egypt (46:26)? __70___ What is significant about this number? It signifies the number of completeness or perfection. 7, 10 70. whether this is an exact number or not, we can take this to represent the fullness of the family of Jacob.
3. In 46:28-34, Joseph and his father are tearfully reunited after 22 years of separation. Joseph
gives specific instruction for the family’s interaction with Pharaoh. In 46:33-34, note the
following:
Where Joseph intends for the family to live: Goshen
What occupation the family is to say they practice: Shepherds
How the family’s occupation is regarded by the Egyptians: Abominable
4. Look up the word Abomination in a dictionary. Write a definition for it below that best fits
the way it is used in 46:34. A vile , shameful, detestable action or condition or habit.

10. What has this weeks passage showed you about the ways of God? The first are not always first. The last are not always last. He is faithful to complete what He says He will do even if it doesn't seem like it.
